Please find below notes made during the meeting on the 19/1/17 between members of the SURF group and Tom Booker (PCC). Notes below were created by Karen Oldale of the Friends and Service Users of St George's.

General communications
1. To facilitate communications with each other, Tom is going to set up a forum (huzzah, here we are) that we can all post pool questions, ideas and updates on. Tom will explain once it is ready.
Pool promotion
2. A4 poster campaign (posters are on order)
We would like to get an A4 poster about the pool displayed every local GP surgery. There is a list of every GP surgery both on this forum and at the pool. Pool users will be offered the opportunity to take a poster and get it displayed in their surgery. This will be marked off the list. It may make for make interesting reading... Posters be displayed elsewhere too of course.
3. Distributing leaflets
Cllr Bond from Gunthorpe has taken over 2500 leaflets to deliver to households with his own newsletter. Might your ward councillor be interested in doing this? If so, let either Karen or Tom know and we will order more leaflets.
4.Stand
St George's will have promotional stall at the 'Disability and Community Awareness Month at Serpentine Green on 11th March.
5. PCCs Communications team, via Healthy Peterborough, have been in touch and offered to assist with promoting info as appropriate
6. Photo shoot
We are waiting to hear whether a contact may be able to do photo shoot at the pool for us on Tuesday 11th April or Saturday 22nd April. If so, we'll be hoping for lots of users to join in and help.
UPDATE: Saturday 22nd April from 10:30 is confirmed. Please put this in your diaries.
7. Video advert
Karen has forwarded to Tom an offer to do a video advert that she received from a new contact at Hereward Community Radio.
8. Promotional opportunity with media team at Dogsthorpe Fire Station
We are still awaiting for the last order that was made with their donation (including those posters) to arrive, the date can then be arranged

Up to date and old site deleted today.
PCC website and pool business cards need the new address.

11. Newsletter
The next issue is mostly drafted (thank you Helen, Jacky and Jane) and just waiting for two more contributions.
Funding and expenditure
12. We understand that Asda's still has us as one of its Chosen by You etc !!
13. Paul Sykes £50 for up keep of raised garden - awaiting Diane and Colin's advice
14. Shakespeare Avenue donation on shower trolley - still awaiting answer from PCC but Tom and Rob will being to look now at possible purchases.
15. In the meantime, we have purchased PhysioTools disk so individual exercise programs can be created and printed at the pool. Copyright is likely be granted for use in the newsletter too.
16. Have you any ideas for fun, very easy and inclusive summer event at St G's that will give everyone a good time and that is not at all onerous on volunteers? It does not have to be focused on fundraising as everyone has already given so much and we currently quite well financed.
17. Rob and Karen plan to attend Rise4Disability event on 22nd February to see if there is any equipment suitable for the pool. You may be interested in attending too. It's free! Please see www.rise4disability.com and watch out for info on our website c/o pbhydro-users_users Twitter.

19. CCG will give their official answer on creating a policy for referrals to aquatic therapy at the Health and Wellbeing Board meeting on 23rd March.
